From the Jewish Question to the Palestinian Question

This article aims to reflect Ernst Bloch's anti-Zionist political position. His constant concern with the situation of Jews in Europe is present in his writings such as Heritage of that Time (1935), a book against fascism that sought to understand the reasons that led to the adherence of many sectors of German society to Nazism. In The Principle of Hope (1959), this concern gains new heights when denouncing, in the light of Marxism, the constitution of the Zionist State as an “invasion of an Arab land”. The relevance of the philosopher's critique of Zionism shows how its constitution into a State represented the emergence of a “Palestinian question”.
